It was Julia's turn to pray on our drive to school today and as usual she prayed for Jedidiah, that he would be healthy and safe but she decided to add peaceful to her prayer request. She verbally noted that she added peaceful to her prayer,-(we have been encouraging the girls to pray with meaning and not repeat the same thing over and over again)-, anyway, and then asked what that actually meant. I began to explain peaceful by describing what it is not: when you don't worry, when you trust etc. Then it hit me, the best way to describe peaceful is when you trust God completely. It's a very good definition and Julia was content with that answer. I love moments like this, when God opens the door to share His truth with our girls because with each one of these conversations they draw of deeper understanding of what it means to follow Christ.
